COP 28

Carbonsafe Ltd. is proud to announce its participation in COP28, the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. This pivotal event gathers global leaders, policymakers, and innovators to address climate change and promote sustainable solutions. Carbonsafe was invited to represent Bulgaria at the Bulgarian pavilion by the Ministry of Environment and Waters, showcasing the country’s commitment to combating greenhouse gas emissions.

During a panel discussion focused on small and medium-sized enterprises as leaders in innovation, Hristo Nikolov of Carbonsafe highlighted the significant role of agriculture in greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for 10% of the total. He emphasized how regenerative agricultural practices not only mitigate these emissions but also enhance soil health and fertility, creating new revenue opportunities for farmers through certified carbon absorption. Together with other Bulgarian innovators, we showcased successful solutions in disposable packaging, agriculture, and transport, demonstrating Bulgaria’s potential as a leader in environmental sustainability.

Hristo Nikolov of Carbonsafe Ltd.: Agriculture is another major source of greenhouse emissions as it accounts for 10% of the total emissions. Regenerative agriculture practices can offset these emissions and prevent erosion and increase soil fertility. The carbon absorbed into the soil can also be certified and become an additional source of income for farmers. https://www.bta.bg/en/news/economy/582311-dynamic-sector-of-bulgaria-s-small-and-medium-sized-enterprises-highlighted-at-c
